Student-Friendly Red Nose Day Cupcakes

In aid of Comic Relief, I thought that I would do some baking this week. But, as a student, I don’t always have the time or the money to start from scratch. So, to make things that little bit easier, I thought I would find the perfect Red Nose Day recipe that barely requires any hard work at all!

All you need to do is pop into your local supermarket and pick up a cupcake mix of your choice, preferably a Red Velvet flavour (keeping with the theme, of course!) I opted for the Betty Crocker Red Velvet Cupcake Mix from Asda, as they’re currently on offer at 2 for £3 – bargain!

The mix provides you with cake mix, cupcake cases, icing, and chocolate flakes. So, all you need are some eggs, oil, water and butter.

Mix all of your ingredients together, scoop the mixture into your cupcake cases, and then pop them into the oven for 15-17 minutes.

After icing, this should be your end result (plus some chocolate flakes, which I opted not to use since I’m still on a Dechox – though, the cakes also have cocoa powder in them so I probably shouldn’t try them anyway!)

However, I can confirm that the cupcakes are nice and fluffy, with a crispy top, and they look delicious! So, if you want to bake some tasty goodies for Comic Relief this Friday then this is definitely a quick and easy way to do it.

Or, if you want something a bit more adventurous, just wait until Friday to check out my recipe for some super yummy Malteser cakes. Working with Comic Relief, Maltesers are donating £5 for every Malteser bake, so it’s definitely worth it (plus, it’ll be delicious!)

Are you baking anything this Comic Relief? Let me know down below, as I would love to try out some new recipes!

And, if you want to see what else I’ve been baking, just click here for Student Friendly Pancakes, and here for some Biscoff Cupcakes.

Don’t forget to follow, with a new post every day at 6pm during the week, and 1pm on a weekend!
